Why did you choose the MBA at Darmstadt Business School?
I chose the MBA at Darmstadt Business School to further advance my education, gain academic experience in Germany, and benefit from its convenient location close to both my workplace and home.
What was your personal highlight during the program?
A personal highlight for me was gaining a broader understanding of how my company operates on a larger scale and why certain decisions have been made by management.
How has the MBA influenced your career?
Toward the end of the program, while I was writing my thesis, I was approached by a competitor company with an offer for a more senior position.
In your view, what differentiates this program from others?
What differentiated this program for me was its broad general-management approach. I was not looking for a specialized MBA in finance or a similar field, so I appreciated that this program offered a wide variety of courses.
Would you recommend this MBA – and why?
I would recommend this MBA to anyone who wants to further their education, take a break in their career, or gain a German education in the English language.
What concrete changes have occurred in your career since completing the MBA?
Since completing the MBA, I have changed both my position and my company
Which skills from the MBA do you use most today?
The skills I use most today are analytical and strategic thinking, a broad business perspective, and a stronger overall understanding of how organizations operate.

The network has been valuable in practical terms because it has allowed me to stay connected with professionals from different industries and exchange perspectives when needed.

I would describe the atmosphere within the program as professional, open, and supportive.
What role does the alumni network play for you today?
The alumni network continues to play a valuable role for me by providing opportunities to stay connected, exchange ideas, and maintain professional relationships beyond the program.

Yes, I am still in contact with some of my fellow students, and I value the professional and personal connections we built during the program.
What surprised you the most during the MBA?
What surprised me most during the MBA was how strongly the program broadened my perspective beyond my own functional area and day-to-day responsibilities.
What was your biggest challenge – and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge was balancing the demands of the program with my professional and personal responsibilities, and I overcame it through careful planning, discipline, and clear prioritization.
What advice would you give your “former self” before starting the MBA?
I would advise my former self to approach the MBA with confidence, stay open to new perspectives, and make the most of every opportunity to learn from both the program and the people in it.
