I chose the MBA at Darmstadt Business School because I have been working in intellectual property (IP), particularly in the patent field, which is a field from both an engineering and legal perspective. I always wanted to broaden my understanding toward business and strategic management so I can better understand how intellectual property can help the business or company to create value.

At first, I thought I would be the oldest student in the MBA program and the only one with a newborn baby. However, I soon realized that there were several classmates in a similar situation, also starting the MBA shortly after becoming parents.
This was very inspiring to me. I developed great respect for those colleagues who chose to continue investing in their personal and professional development while adapting to the demands of early parenthood. It created a strong sense of shared motivation and showed me that it is possible to pursue further education even during such an intensive life phase.
